Inorganic Collections
Remember to check with your specific local council guidelines for confirmation before putting any rubbish out for an inorganic collection.
Remember:
- Stack rubbish in a tidy pile
- Sort tyres into a separate pile
- Please remove doors and electrical cables from stoves and refrigerators or place face down on the grass verge for safety reasons.
Remember: Reduce, Re-use, Recycle!
- Don't put anything in the inorganic collection that could be recycled or put to use by someone else.
- Plastic bottles and containers, tins, cans, glass, paper and cardboard should be put out for collection in your regular recycling collection
- If you have furniture, household items, bikes or equipment in working order, donate them to local schools, early childhood centres and charities via www.donatenz.com
- If you have useful reusable raw materials, for example glass jars and bottles, plastics, metals, textiles, appliances or demolition materials, pass them on for re-use at www.renewwasteexchange.org.nz
